SAITO OFFSHORE
As the world moved to source increasing volumes of consumer products from China and South East Asia and the Indian Sub continent, Saito developed a true e-commerce platform that enabled absolute control over standards, quality and authentication to be maintained in foreign lands.
Initially developed under the brand name Shore to Shore this division was renamed Saito Offshore Sourcing in 2006.
The emergence of RFID at source driven by global heavyweights such as Walmart, Tesco and Macro and the need to protect goods from shrinkage through the application of EAS (anti-theft) transponders required a new dimension in source tagging.
To achieve the goals of always ensuring our clients had access to “best of best” Saito has teamed up with CheckNet Systems to utilise the offshore manufacturing facilities in 26 countries many of which are in the main supply source zones for Australian and New Zealand importers.
It does not matter if the item is a garment or a homeware item or an appliance, Saito can assure that the right label details are on the items. Any requirement for EAS tags can be inserted inside packaging as can RFID tags.
Domestic production is undertaken in our Brisbane and Auckland facilities to the same global standards “signed off” by clients.
The great advantage of having someone from Saito Offshore close by is the ability to liase with someone locally to achieve a global standardised outcome.
The systems in use are ISO14001 certified and operate in “real time”. Using web based order entry against predetermined standards will ensure accurate barcodes and information is available at every step of the supply chain and at Point of Sale.
Saito Offshore produces well over 100 million tags and labels a year and at accuracy rate greater than six sigma standards (99.99999%). The hidden benefit of accurate ticketing at source translates directly to bottom line profits through retail store efficiencies.
